Dr. Kaie-Ann Smith grew up in Kingston, Jamaica. After becoming fluent in Spanish, she earned a Medical Degree (Hons) from the Faculty of Medicine Jose Asef Yara, Cuba. She was also awarded a double residency in neonatology and family medicine but respectfully declined it, choosing to return to Jamaica.
Dr. Kaie-Ann Smith became a Senior House Officer after completing internship at the Kingston Public Hospital, did shifts at Comprehensive Clinic, Maxfield, Grants Pen, and Duhaney Park Medical Centers, all while doing private practice for Portmore Medical. She later began doing Palliative Care at the Hope Institute, after losing an aunt to cancer. Dr. Kaie-Ann Smith then took on working part time at both Parkington Health and Oasis Healthcare. She also worked at Vijay Medical and works part time at Grants Pen Medical.
By this time, Dr. Kaie-Ann Smith decided to open her private practice, specializing in primary care for adults and children.
